A 6-5 night would feel a lot better if not for two major concerns.
We made two late afternoon switches and lost both games – Detroit-New Orleans and New York-New Jersey. But hey, that happens. You second-guess yourself; sometimes it works; sometimes not.
Of greater frustration is the issue surrounding this Knicks-Nets fiasco. We changed the pick after hearing that Eddy Curry and Stephon Marbury were both unlikely to play…only to find out after the fact that Jason Kidd was out with headaches/labor strife. Still reading up on this, but as of now, this doesn’t look like a good story on Kidd’s end. More info to come soon.
* * * * *
ATLANTA (-8.5) over Minnesota – The Hawks are competitive. Not so much on the Minnesota end. We’ll take a pass.
Denver over DALLAS (-8.5) – Though both teams come off of hard-fought losses last night, it is hard to be too excited about a Mavs team that couldn’t beat the Spurs sans Tim Duncan last night.
Miami over PORTLAND (-0.5) – The Blazers have been inconsistent, and call us crazy, but we’re still scared enough of Flash and Shaq that we’ll buy that this Miami team could make a run at any time. That ideology is, however, running thin. But we give it one more try tonight.
